6-Speed Transmission with Paddle-Shift Activation
The six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission offers the excitement of a stick shift with the convenience of an automatic. The wheel-mounted paddle shifters on the Lincoln MKT allow you to shift gears quickly without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Or, simply relax and let the automatic mode glide efficiently through all six speeds.

The standard panoramic all-glass Vista Roof provides an expansive view for passengers in both the first and second rows. The Vista Roof comes with a power sunshade to help keep your vehicle cool. Inflatable Second-Row Outboard Safety Belts
The available inflatable second-row outboard safety belts help distribute crash-force energy across more of the torso than traditional safety belts. This can help reduce the risk of injury while providing support to the head and neck. In the event of a frontal or side crash, inflatable belts hold the passenger in the appropriate seating position, helping to reduce risk of injury. These safety belts are compatible with child-safety seats.
Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support
Available adaptive cruise control functions just like traditional cruise control — but with one important difference. When the sensors detect traffic slowing ahead, your vehicle also slows down. And when traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes the set speed. Forward collision warning with brake support can alert you if it senses a possible collision with the car in front of you. A heads-up display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield and provides an audible warning. If you don't react in time, the brakes will precharge and provide full responsiveness when you apply the brakes.Reverse Sensing System/Rear View Camera
Whenever you're in Reverse, the standard rear view camera61 on the Lincoln MKT transmits an image of the space directly behind the vehicle to the eight-inch touch screen. Color bars help you judge the distance between your vehicle and surrounding objects. The Reverse Sensing System61 alerts you with an audible tone when there are objects detected behind the vehicle up to six feet away. The closer you get to the object, the quicker the tone.
Second-Row Refrigerated Console
The Lincoln MKT offers an optional second-row refrigerated console. The unique design blends seamlessly with the front-row console and offers the luxury of refrigeration anywhere you go. Unlike systems that just keep beverages cold, the compressor-driven unit in the Lincoln MKT can chill up to seven 12-oz. cans, four half-liter bottles or two 20-oz. bottles to temperatures as low as 41°F. Should you need a freeze mode, there's that too.
