The S Appearance Package features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 18-inch premium dark stainless wheels and a rear spoiler. The SE Appearance Package includes black cloth and vinyl bolster seats with Medium Stone stitching, halogen fog lamps with bright chrome-trim black bezel and 18-inch premium dark stainless wheels. The SE Luxury Package features the style and comfort of a 10-way power driver seat with three memory settings, leather seating surfaces with heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel to go along with its 1.5L EcoBoost® engine and 6-speed auto transmission.

With three stunning models and five different trims ranging from gas to hybrid to plug-in hybrid, Fusion offers plenty of ways to meet and exceed your driving needs. Whether you're looking for power, efficiency or both, you'll find a choice of three available EcoBoost® engines the V6 Sport comes standard with a 2.7L EcoBoost® engine. Driving a Fusion lets you express your own unique self, wherever you go.
V6 Sport
The Fusion V6 Sport has a powerful 2.7L turbocharged EcoBoost® engine that kicks out 325 hp with 380 lb.-ft of torque and standard AWD. Fusion also features continuously controlled damping (CCD) that uses an advanced suite of sensors to constantly monitor the vehicle's suspension motion, body movement, steering and braking to adjust the suspension damping in milliseconds to help keep the body of the vehicle quiet and smoothly on track. Fusion also has a pothole mitigation system within its standard CCD suspension, which can provide some protection against jarring impact and costly wheel and tire repairs.
EcoBoost® Engines
The 2018 Fusion has three EcoBoost® engines to choose from: the 1.5L with standard Auto Start-Stop Technology; the 2.0L; and, for the Fusion V6 Sport, the 2.7L V6. All combine three technologies - turbocharging, direct injection and twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) - to enhance performance and efficiency. Each engine provides direct fuel injection, piston cooling jets for durability and paddle shifters.
Ride and Handling
Standard is a 6-speed automatic transmission that comes with available steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Also standard is a European-inspired independent MacPherson strut-type suspension with a stabilizer bar to help reduce road noise, vibration and body roll when cornering. There's also electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) with pull-drift compensation to help correct for road irregularities and to improve overall steering feel, especially when driving on crowned roads or in heavy crosswinds. Also, continuously controlled damping is a Ford exclusive on V6 Sport and delivers tight cornering and a smooth ride.
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
Intelligent AWD sensors balance torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction, typically before wheelslip can occur. AWD is available on SE, Titanium and Platinum and standard on V6 Sport with the 2.7L EcoBoost® engine. Not available on the Fusion Hybrid and the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid.
Auto Start-Stop
You can help reduce vehicle emissions with available Auto Start-Stop Technology. When the vehicle comes to a stop in city driving, the engine is automatically shut off. The air conditioning and radio stay on, keeping you comfortable. The engine seamlessly restarts when your foot leaves the brake pedal. Standard on the 1.5L EcoBoost® engine.
Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS)
Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) automatically adjusts to deliver the precise feel and control you need at higher speeds, as well as the assistance slower speeds require. EPAS features drift control and active nibble control. Drift control detects road conditions - such as a crowned road surface or crosswinds - and adjusts the EPAS to compensate. Active nibble control uses the EPAS motor to reduce unwanted vibrations in the steering wheel. The result — comfortable driving and responsive steering.

SmartGauge® with EcoGuide
The dual LCD SmartGauge® with EcoGuide provides real-time information to help you enhance the efficiency of your Fusion Hybrid or Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid. MyView lets you customize screens. Configurable screens such as Brake Coach help you maximize your vehicle's efficiency. Left-side display screens include Engage and Empower modes. In Engage, you'll see separate gauges for engine power and lithium-ion battery power. In Empower, which includes all the information in Engage, you'll also see how close you are to the gasoline engine on/off threshold and the amount of power being requested based on how far you're depressing the accelerator pedal.
EcoSelect & EcoCruise
When EcoSelect is engaged, it directs the vehicle to drive more efficiently, with trade-offs for acceleration/deceleration, noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), and climate control.
SYNC® 3
SYNC® 3 is our easy-to-use, responsive voice-activated technology. Experience the capacitive touchscreen with impressive responsiveness. Global Positioning System (GPS) technology is combined with 3-D mapping and provides voice-guided turn-by-turn directions. With SiriusXM® Traffic and Travel Link, you'll get detailed traffic information, along with current and forecast weather, gas station locations and prices.

Fusion offers a wide range of available technologies to help keep you aware of your surroundings and ever-changing traffic conditions. One feature is the available Pre- Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection that alerts you to pedestrians or vehicles in front of your vehicle. Fusion also offers additional driver-assist features that can help detect vehicles in your blind spots, adjust your speed while in cruise control, help you stay in your lane, find a parking space and more.
Pre-Collision Assist
Take smart on the road with the available Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection . If the system's sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you, a warning flashes on the windshield and an alert sounds. Also, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake. If the driver does not take corrective action and collision is imminent, brakes can apply automatically. Available on SE, Titanium and V6 Sport, and standard on Platinum.
Enhanced Active Park Assist
While you're driving slowly near parking spots, activate this feature and your Fusion will scan for an available one. Ultrasonic sensors measure your distance from parked vehicles and, once an appropriate spot is identified, you're signaled to stop and accept the system's assistance. With a few actions on your part - shifting, accelerating and braking - the vehicle can smoothly parallel park or back into a perpendicular parking space.
Lane-Keeping System
A camera mounted behind the windshield scans road lane markings to determine vehicle position and detect a lane departure. The available system can operate day or night. Lane-Keeping alert warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which mimic driving over a rumble strip, should the system detect an unintentional lane departure. Lane-Keeping aid actively applies steering torque, which alerts you to direct your vehicle back into the target lane should the system detect an unintended lane departure.
Cross-Traffic Alert
Available cross-traffic alert uses radar to sense traffic behind your vehicle when you're slowly backing out of a parking spot or your driveway. If cross-traffic alert sensors detect a vehicle approaching from up to 15 yards away, you will be alerted by a visual display in the corresponding mirror and a signal in the message center. You will receive an audible alert as well. Cross-traffic alert comes with BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System).
Standard Rear View Camera
Put the gear selector in Reverse and the rear view camera automatically transmits the image of what's behind your vehicle to your screen when you're slowly backing up. The rear view camera is standard on all models.
Inflatable Rear Safety Belts
The Fusion is the first vehicle in its class to offer available inflatable rear safety belts. These available rear outboard safety belts are designed to hold the passenger in the appropriate seating position and can help distribute crash-force energy across more of the torso area than traditional belts. Inflatable belts can help reduce the risk of injury, while providing support to the head and neck. These safety belts are compatible with many infant and child-safety booster seats. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go
With this available feature, when Fusion is in cruise mode, a radar sensor detects traffic slowing ahead and can automatically brake and accelerate to help keep you moving with the pace of traffic. With the addition of stop-and-go, the feature can halt your vehicle in stopped traffic and restart it when traffic begins to move.
BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System)
With this available system, radar sensors in the rear quarter panels can detect whether a vehicle is in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate sideview mirror.
