The new 2.3L EcoBoost® engine continues to show up and perform. This iteration of the proven engine boasts even more torque at 350 lb.-ft. The extra bump in the EcoBoost® is all thanks to the transient overboost function, which lifts outputs on every gear change. So you can focus on the rush you get as you step on the gas.
The 5.0L Mustang V8: a legendary engine revamped to get you maximum power. How did we make that happen? By adding a new dual-fuel, high-pressure direct injection and low-pressure port fuel injection. Which not only translates into 460 horsepower, but also higher-rpm power at 420 lb.-ft. of torque. Sounds like a win-win to us.
10-Speed Automatic Transmission
The new optional 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission is the best automatic in any Mustang ever. The 10-speed architecture, featuring Ford-patented technology, is designed for optimum ratio progression and efficiency. It also provides more accurate, quicker upshift and downshift capability. And if you're someone who likes ultimate control, steering wheel-mounted shift paddles are included as well.
Dual Exhaust and Active Valve Performance Exhaust
Put those beautiful dual exhausts with quad tips to work with the brand-new (and class-exclusive) active valve performance exhaust. This is a fully variable exhaust system, which means you can control the volume of your Mustang's rumble.

Customize your Mustang with unique chassis tuning, summer-only tires, 19-inch X 9-inch lowgloss Ebony Black-painted aluminum wheels, TORSEN limited-slip differential, improved braking performance and more. Available on EcoBoost® and EcoBoost® Premium.

Up your street cred with this package, available on GT and GT Premium. You'll get the Brembo® six-piston front brake calipers with larger rotors and TORSEN limited-slip differential. And that's just for starters.
Selectable Drive Modes
This is the ultimate in control when it comes to customizing your Mustang driving experience. Five drive modes - Normal, Snow/Wet, Sport, Track or Drag Mode (which is new this year) - let you dial in the dynamics you want. Handling and response times are adjusted based on your selection. All you have to do is flip the toggle switch on the center stack to get what you want.
Launch Control and Electronic Line-Lock
Launch control integrates the brakes and both traction and powertrain control to help ensure smooth, consistent starts across a broad range of driving conditions. Real-time performance info is displayed through Track Apps on the in-dash LCD screen. Electronic line-lock, now standard on all models, lets you take your track skills even further. No need to balance one foot on the brake and the other on the gas, or install a mechanical line-lock. This integrated system does the work for you by locking the front brakes and releasing the rear brakes. Those back tires will be spinning and warmed up in no time.
The 5.2L V8 engine with a flat-plane crank produces 526 horsepower and delivers 429 lb.-ft. of torque.
Chassis and Suspension
The MagneRide Damping System monitors and adjusts itself thousands of times per second. Designed, engineered and built so the springs, sway bars and dampers work together as one finely tuned system.
We teamed front and rear Brembo® calipers with cross-drilled, two-piece brake rotors - huge 394mm (15.5") rotors up front and 380mm (14.9") rotors in the back.
GT350 was expertly engineered to balance downforce while minimizing aerodynamic drag.
There's nothing like a Mustang. Its fastback silhouette conjures up a deep history of show-stopping design. And yet, the new 2018 Mustang feels incredibly modern. The lowered front hood and new fascia frame new LED lighting. And those design cues flow into the body lines to the back, where its muscular haunch lets everyone else on the road know what just passed.
The cloth convertible top is electrically driven for quick, quiet operation. You can easily open or close it from the driver's seat, thanks to a center latch. And the trunk is large enough to accommodate your golf bag - even with the optional Shaker Pro subwoofer.
LED Front Lighting
The entire Mustang lineup now features all-LED front lighting that includes signature lighting, low beams, turn signals, projector high beams and available fog lamps. Better yet, the LED headlamps offer a 30 percent reduction in power consumption over the HIDs from the prior model year.
Premium Plus Package
Talk about an upgrade. The Premium Plus Package, available on EcoBoost® Premium and GT Premium, adds another level of finish to your Mustang. And you'll feel it the moment you slide in - from the heated steering wheel with unique leather, to the color-accented leather-trimmed seats, to the unique color-accented door trim and Linked Graphite aluminum appliqué on the dash. The package also includes the all-new 12-inch LCD digital cluster, as well as hand stitching on the center console, a wrapped knee bolster with accent stitching and shifter boot with stitching.
GT Dual Exhaust with Quad Tips

When you get the 12-Inch LCD instrument cluster, you can set your favorite drive settings and the MyMode system will remember them next time you get behind the wheel. That even includes suspension and steering preferences.
Standard on all models, performance metrics are instantly provided in the instrument cluster. Accelerometer displays lateral and longitudinal g-forces, acceleration times and lap times, plus automatic and countdown starts. Also included are features like electronic line-lock* and launch control* (manual only). Electronic line-lock keeps the front brakes locked while Mustang is in gear to warm up the rear tires. Launch control integrates brakes, traction control and powertrain control to help ensure smooth, consistent starts.

Mustang is offering 12 wheels this year. And the 19-inch Luster Nickel-painted forged-aluminum wheel* is one of the 10 new options.
Selectable Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS)
You can select from three power-assist settings to give you the type of steering control you want when you want it.
- Comfort: This setting involves the least amount of steering effort. Perfect for everyday driving.
- Sport: This setting requires increased steering effort, delivering a more immediate connection to the road.
- Normal: Finally, this setting gives you a balance between Comfort and Sport when you want to engage more, but still need some level of steering ease.
