Remote charging status updates allow you to check charge levels and available range as well as locate your vehicle and view nearby public charging stations. The app and website also estimate the amount of CO2 emissions based on your driving style.

SmartGauge® with EcoGuide offers a multitude of customizable LCD screen that help you understand how changing your driving habits can have a direct effect on maximizing vehicle efficiency. Content such as the Energy History, Energy Coach and Efficiency Leaves work together to help you monitor and improve your driving performance over time.
Illuminated Charge Port
When the connector cord is plugged into the C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid charge port, located between the driver's door and front wheel well, the port will illuminate by quadrants to indicate its current level of charge. When all four quadrants are illuminated, the vehicle has fully charged.

Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control
C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid feature dual-zone electronic automatic temperature controls in the front row. That lets you and your front-seat passenger set the temperatures to your individual likings. We have not forgotten the rear-seat passengers - they have the ability to adjust the climate to their liking as well.
Power Liftgate
The available power liftgate makes loading and unloading cargo a breeze. Simply press a button on the key fob, or if you're inside the vehicle, press the button on the center console and the liftgate opens automatically.
Panoramic Fixed-Glass Vista Roof
Let the outside in and enjoy the natural light, courtesy of the optional fixed-glass panoramic roof. A power sunshade is included and can be opened or closed at the touch of a button.
Driver knee airbag
C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid both come with a driver knee airbag to help protect you. Located under the steering wheel, the knee airbag works along with the driver's front airbag. Also standard are front-seat side airbags and side-curtain airbags for a total of seven C-MAX Energi also include a smart Front-Passenger Sensing System that uses sensors to detect if a front passenger is present.
MyKey
Standard MyKey can help others drive your vehicle more responsibly. The Belt-Minder warning chime stays activated and the audio sound system remains muted until the safety belts are buckled. Then, MyKey can be set to one of the four top speed choices.
Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS)
EPAS aids the steering effort to help you maintain a straighter path and helps manage unwanted drifting and pulls. It continually adapts to driving conditions, offering light responsiveness for maneuvering at low speeds and firmer assist at higher speeds for enhanced control. EPAS is standard on all C-MAX models.
2.0L Hybrid Electric Powertrain
Both C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid include a 2.0L I-4 Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric motor to generate up to best-in-class 188 combined horsepower.
