Ford E-Series is the popular choice for Class 3–4 cutaway vans covering an extensive range of business and recreational uses — emergency service, commercial trades, bus and shuttle transport, motorhomes. They’re offered in the E-350 single rear wheel model, followed by the E-350/E-450 versions with dual rear wheels and higher GVWRs for handling the broad range of heavy-duty applications. All E-Series cutaways feature a comfortable cab built on a rugged full frame.
E-450 Super Duty® DRW Cutaway
The E-450 with dual rear-wheels delivers high-end capability in cutaway chassis available in 158- and 176-inch wheelbases. GVWR’s range from 14,000 to 14,500 lbs., with payload ratings from 8,610 to 9,909 lbs. If you’re into towing heavy loads, the E-450 DRW has a maximum GCWR of 22,000 lbs. Power is supplied by a standard 6.8L Triton V10 or available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 with a larger standard 55-gal. fuel tank (40-gal. optional).
E-350 Super Duty® DRW Cutaway
The E-350 with dual rear-wheels offers mid-range capacities in cutaway chassis available in three wheelbases: 138-, 158- and 176-inch. GVWR’s range from 11,500 to 12,500 lbs., with payload ratings from 6,280 to 7,560 lbs. The E-350 DRW is powered by a standard 6.8L Triton V10 or available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 with a larger standard 55-gal. fuel tank (40-gal. optional).
E-350 Super Duty® SRW Cutaway
The E-350 Cutaway with single rear-wheel delivers all the power and capability needed for a wide range of commercial and recreational applications. It’s powered by a standard 6.8L Triton V10 or available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 with 40-gal. fuel tank. It has a GVWR of 10,050 lbs. (138- and 158-inch wheelbases) and a max payload rating of 5,230 lbs. (138-inch wheelbase).

The E-350 Cutaway with single rear-wheel delivers all the power and capability needed for a wide range of commercial and recreational applications. It’s powered by a standard 6.8L Triton V10 or available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 with 40-gal. fuel tank. It has a GVWR of 10,050 lbs. (138- and 158-inch wheelbases) and a max payload rating of 5,230 lbs. (138-inch wheelbase).
Telescoping Trailer Tow Mirrors
Trailers come in different lengths and widths. So it makes good sense to equip your vehicle with the available telescoping trailer tow mirrors that accommodate whatever type and size of trailer you’re towing. These mirrors come in either power or manual telescoping adjustment, and provide adjustable flat glass and a manual convex spotter mirror.
Factory-Installed Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (TBC)
E-Series Cutaway offers an available factory-installed, fully integrated trailer brake controller (TBC) with no installation hassles or aftermarket worries. Integrated with the anti-lock brakes, TBC synchronizes vehicle and trailer brakes for seamless braking, even with the heaviest loads. The Ford TBC offers the advantage of verified compatibility with trailers (one to four axles) utilizing electrically actuated drum brakes and certain electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) drum or disc brakes.
Safety Features
Full frame construction provides a solid foundation for vehicle integrity. And for passenger protection, among the safety features are front airbags for the driver and front passenger, four-wheel anti-lock brakes to help you maintain steering control and come to a straight stop, plus available Traction Control System when road conditions are less than ideal. E-Series also comes with a standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) in single-rear-wheel models to help you make sure your tires are always inflated to their proper level.
Power

Some applications need more low-end muscle for heavy hauling. Others call for balanced overall performance on the highway. Because your vocation has specific power requirements, we offer two engine choices in our E-Series Cutaway models. The standard 6.8L Triton V10 delivers 305 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of best-in-class torque. And the available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 rated at 331 horsepower and 356 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are teamed with the proven, durable Ford-built TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission.
Six-speed TorqShift Automatic with Overdrive
The TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission is designed and built by Ford to handle the high-performance demands of the standard 6.8L Triton V10 (305 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. torque) and the available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 (331 horsepower and 356 lb.-ft. or torque). The TorqShift has Tow/Haul mode. On an uphill, it selects the gear that minimizes gear hunting; on a downhill, it prevents upshifting and increase in speed, reducing reliance on brake pressure to slow down.
Advanced Fuel Options
A CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package* is available that allows the standard 6.8L Triton V10 and the available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 to run on advanced fuels — compressed natural gas or liquefied propane autogas — in lieu of conventional unleaded gasoline.
Heavy-Duty Alternators
The standard 155-amp alternator (6.8L V10) and 150-amp alternator (6.2L V8) provide plenty of capacity for normal duty. For more demanding application, optional extra heavy-duty 225-amp alternator (for the 6.8L V10; included in the Ambulance Prep Package) and extra-heavy-duty 240-amp alternator (for the 6.2L V8) are available.

User-Defined Upfitter Switches
Four available upfitter switches (30 amp, 30 amp, 10 amp and 15 amp.) with fuses and relays provide a convenient way to connect a variety of aftermarket accessories to your vehicle’s electrical system. They’re factory-installed and integrated into the instrument panel, so there’s no need to cut into the truck’s electrical system when installing accessories such as a winch, lights, strobes or a two-way radio.
