Three-Link Front Suspension
The innovative three-link front suspension is developed for both the two- and four-wheel-drive models. It helps contribute to the 14,000-pound Gross Vehicle Weight Rating and the 39,100-pound Gross Combined Weight Rating available on the Ram 3500. With a wider frame and a significantly larger stabilizer bar than the previous model, the three-link front suspension utilizes more outwardly positioned springs and stronger shocks to help give the driver a cushioned ride, especially when hauling a heavy payload.
50,000-PSI STEEL FRAME
The 50,000-PSI hydroformed steel frame incorporates additional crossmembers for strength and mass efficiency as well as hydroformed front and rear rail contours for a more secure placement of suspension components and mounts. After all, a truck is only as strong as the steel it's built on.
PROVEN AND LEGENDARY 6.7L CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL I6 ENGINE
The available Proven and Legendary 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine gives the driver a Max diesel tow rating of 31,210 pounds, a 14,000-pound maximum GVWR and Best-in-Class 15,000-mile oil change intervals.
SMART DIESEL EXHAUST BRAKE
The available Proven and Legendary 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engines incorporate the Class-Exclusive smart exhaust engine brake to help control the descent of a vehicle on a downward slope. Working much like Speed Control, the engine brake uses a variable nozzle on the turbo to maintain smooth, less aggressive braking while helping to provide vehicle stability and reduced wear on the disc brakes. It is especially handy when hauling heavy loads.
AVAILABLE FIFTH-WHEEL/GOOSENECK PREP PACKAGE
Serious hauling requires some heavy-duty hardware. That's why the Ram 3500 offers an available factory-installed rear axle structural crossmember. Built with provisions for a fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitch, the crossmember seamlessly connects your trailer with the frame of your heavy-duty truck. To ensure a clean electrical connection, we include a seven-pin connector inside the truck bed for wiring hookups. And with Electronic Stability Control standard on all Ram 3500 trucks, your trailer and truck work together as one heavy-duty hauling machine.
Gear Up
It's more than just a toolbox. The Class-Exclusive available RamBox Cargo Management System6 is a lit, secure, durable and drainable storage system incorporated into the side rails of your truck bed. And with the available AllSecure Central Locking System, you can lock and unlock your cargo box and the rest of your vehicle with the push of a button. This comprehensive system also includes a cargo bed extender/divider, cargo bed rails with four adjustable tie-down cleats and new cargo box lighting. Available on Single Rear Wheel models only.
CARGO-VIEW CAMERA
Designed with safety and security in mind, this available cargo-view camera allows the driver to view the truck bed contents from the Uconnect® display. This feature helps keep the driver free from worry and distraction knowing that everything in the cargo bed is under a watchful eye.
