Style is a dominant theme for Flex, inside and out. Interior design cues include wood finishes and leather-trimmed seating. Interior Design
2018 Ford Flex Limited features an array of finely crafted details that appeal to a sophisticated sensibility. Highlights include perforated leather-trimmed front seats, plus a color-keyed leather-wrapped steering wheel with rich wood inlay. Other thoughtful extras include Yoho maple accents in the instrument and door-trim panels. Further exemplifying Flex’s detailed crafting is the Appearance Package which features a uniquely finished instrument panel and door-trim appliques, 1st row and 2nd floor mats (front row features a unique logo), Light Earth Grey perforated-leather seat inserts with dark earth Grey bolsters, and the inspired leather-wrapped steering wheel with meteorite black bezels.
Multipanel Vista Roof
Natural lighting covers all three rows of seats, with the available multipanel Vista Roof . A power moonroof covers the first row, the second row features two ample skylights and the third row offers a single large skylight. Includes power sunshades.
Chrome Grille
2018 Ford Flex features a standard chrome grille that integrates seamlessly with the headlamps, showcasing its unmistakable front profile. A satin-aluminum finish is standard on the Limited. Limited shown.
Appearance Package
This package complements Flex inside and out.
Up your style ante with the available Appearance Package. Shadow Black exterior details—including mirror caps, grille center bar and liftgate appliqué—make a bold statement. 20-inch high-gloss black-painted wheels complete the sleek look. Inside, slip into luxe leather-trimmed seats featuring Dark Earth Gray bolsters with Light Earth Gray inserts. You’ll also find a leather-wrapped steering wheel with Meteorite Black bezels and unique graphic instrument panel.
Exterior Design
Thoughtful design is apparent on every Flex model, starting with standard bright dual exhaust tips. SE and SEL feature a distinctive chrome grille, while both SEL and Limited offer standard chrome door handles and available appearance package. SEL and Limited also offer an available Appearance Package. Limited models boast sophisticated details like silver lower grille stripes, 19-inch painted aluminum wheels, a satin-aluminum liftgate appliqué and satin-aluminum grille.
Ambient Lighting
Select a hue to match your mood or create a new one. Standard in the Limited,
ambient lighting illuminates the front and rear footwells, front center console bin and front two cupholders in your choice of seven colors:
Ice Blue®, orange, soft blue, red, green, blue and purple.
Comfort
A well-appointed space
2018 Ford Flex provides standard seven-passenger seating capacity, plus available amenities such as the one-touch PowerFold and tumble third-row seat. And just as Flex is big on interior room for passengers and cargo, it is also big on comfort and convenience. The available heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, available power-adjustable pedals, power tilt/telescoping steering column and available heated power-folding mirrors all add up to a more comfortable driving experience.
Spacious Seven-Passenger Seating
The standard Seven-passenger seating includes first-row bucket seats, a second-row 60/40 split bench seat and a 50/50 split bench third-row seat.
Both rear seats can also be folded flat for up to 83.2 cu. ft. of storage capacity.
Climate Control
With the 2018 Ford Flex, you’ll enjoy a comfortable environment for all seasons. The dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, standard on the SEL and Limited, allows you and your front-seat passenger to enjoy individual comfort levels. With heated and cooled front seats, available on the Limited, simply push a button for seating comfort. And the heated steering wheel, available on the Limited, makes grabbing onto a chilly wheel a thing of the past.

2018 Ford Flex makes life on the road smart and convenient with a host of optional amenities. Advanced technologies like BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, active park assist, Intelligent Access with push-button start and rain-sensing wipers help ensure confidence on any drive.
Cargo and Storage
Flex features lots of smart storage space. Simply fold the third-row seats flat for 43.2 cu. ft. of room. Fold the second-row seats flat for a total of up to 83.2 cu. ft. A first-row console, first and second-row door storage pockets, map pockets behind the first-row seats, third-rowstorage in the armrests and a large lockable glove compartment allow for storing smaller items. There are also up to 12 cup and bottle holders.
Power Liftgate
For added convenience, 2018 Ford Flex offers an available power liftgate. Press a button on the key fob or inside the cabin and the available power liftgate opens or closes.
Intelligent Access w/ Push-Button Start
When the available Intelligent Access key is in your pocket or purse near the driver’s door, the system senses the key is nearby. Then, with a simple touch of the door handle, unlock the driver’s door or all the doors. Once inside, just press the brake pedal and then the start button. Shift into gear and go. Standard on SEL and Limited.
Rear View Camera with Backup Assist Grid
Get a clear picture of what’s behind you with the standard rear view camera.
Put the vehicle in reverse and the standard rear view camera automatically displays the image of what’s behind your vehicle as you’re slowly backing up10. Backup assist grid lines make it easy to navigate in reverse. Shown on the available 8-inch center-stack screen.

Intelligent Performance
2018 Ford Flex offers a range of innovative technologies like an available 3.5L EcoBoost® , standard AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™™ ) and available Intelligent all-wheel drive. A rear view camera is standard and the available Navigation System with SiriusXM® Traffic and Travel Link offers guidance plus key information including a five-year complimentary trial subscription. SYNC® comes standard and SYNC® 3 is available. An available Audio System from Sony® provides the perfect soundtrack.
Active Park Assist
Available active park assist is designed to help make parallel parking a breeze. While driving slowly by parking spots, simply activate this feature and it scans for available parking spaces. Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the curb and other parked cars. Once the right spot is identified, you’re signaled to stop and accept the system’s assistance. You control the shifting, accelerating and braking.
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD)
Get sure-footed traction in a variety of conditions.
Intelligent AWD sensors balance torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction, typically before wheelslip can even occur. This helps keep the vehicle sure-footed in a variety of conditions — such as slippery surfaces. Available on the SEL and Limited. Standard on the Limited when equipped with the available 3.5L EcoBoost® engine.
Navigation w/SiriusXM® Traffic and Travel Link
You’ll get detailed traffic information, plus current and forecast weather, gas station locations and prices, sports scores and schedules, and movie theater locations with show listings and times. Available navigation includes a five-year complimentary SiriusXM® Traffic and Travel Link trial subscription. Also included is Global Positioning System (GPS) technology combined with 3-D mapping to provide voice-guided turn-by-turn directions.
BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert
Available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert helps boost driving confidence. Radar technology identifies if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate exterior mirror. Cross-traffic alert also uses radar to watch for traffic behind your vehicle as you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. If cross-traffic sensors detect a vehicle approaching from up to 15 yards away, you will be audibly and visually alerted.
Available SYNC® 3 with Apple CarPlay ™ and Android Auto ™
In addition to all the voice-activated benefits of SYNC® 6 - SYNC® 3 adds convenience to your driving experience with its 8-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen and easy-to-use interface. Discover the system’s quick reactions to your conversational voice commands and experience the smartphone-like touchscreen with impressive responsiveness. You’ll also find a sleek user-friendly interface to help you connect to and control your smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Locate your favourite restaurants with simple destination entry via the optional navigation. SYNC® AppLink lets you use your voice to control some of your favourite compatible mobile apps while driving. SYNC® 3 is fast, smart and easy to use.
AdvanceTrac® with RSC®
AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™™) uses gyroscopic sensors to measure both vehicle roll and turning rates. Corner too quickly or swerve to avoid an object and RSC® applies brake pressure and reduces engine power to help keep your vehicle under control. And it all happens in the time it takes to blink an eye. Available trailer sway control works with RSC® to determine if the trailer is swaying. If necessary, trailer sway control applies precise braking or adjusted engine torque to help bring both vehicle and trailer under control. Trailer sway control is included in the Class III Trailer Tow Package for SEL and Limited.
